Sun Cluster 2.2 through 3.2 per Oracle Parallel Server / Real Application Clusters (OPS/RAC) consente agli utenti locali di causare un denial of service (panic o abort del nodo del cluster) avviando un daemon in ascolto su una porta TCP che verrebbe altrimenti utilizzata dal Distributed Lock Manager (DLM), potenzialmente coinvolgendo tale daemon nel rispondere in modo da simulare una riconfigurazione del cluster.
