Un bug AIO nel kernel Linux 2.6.11 sulle architetture PPC64 o IA64 con CONFIG_HUGETLB_PAGE abilitato consente agli utenti locali di causare un denial of service (panic del sistema) tramite un processo che esegue la funzione io_queue_init ma termina senza eseguire io_queue_release, causando il fallimento delle funzioni exit_aio e is_hugepage_only_range.
