La funzione elf_load_file in NetBSD dalle versioni 2.0 alla 3.0 consente agli utenti locali di causare un denial of service (crash del kernel) tramite un interprete ELF che non presenta una sezione PT_LOAD nell'intestazione, il quale provoca un dereferenziamento nullo.
