Ipswitch WhatsUp Professional 2006 verifica l'identità degli utenti esclusivamente tramite gli intestazioni HTTP, consentendo agli attaccanti remoti di falsificare (spoof) un console attendibile ed eludere l'autenticazione impostando l'intestazione HTTP User-Agent su "Ipswitch/1.0" e l'intestazione User-Application su "NmConsole".
