La funzionalità di parsing delle Mailslot SMB in PAM presente in diversi prodotti ISS con XPU (24.39/1.78/epj/x.x.x.1780), tra cui Proventia A, G, M, Server e Desktop, BlackICE PC and Server Protection 3.6 e RealSecure 7.0, consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (loop infinito) tramite un pacchetto SMB manipolato ad hoc che non viene gestito correttamente dal decoder SMB_Mailslot_Heap_Overflow.
