Nortel VPN Router (noto anche come Contivity) modelli 1000, 2000, 4000 e 5000 precedenti alla versione 6_05.140 utilizzano una chiave DES fissa per crittografare le password, consentendo agli utenti remoti autenticati di ottenere una password tramite un attacco brute force su un hash presente nello store LDAP.
