La funzione sysfs_readdir nel kernel di Linux 2.6, come utilizzata in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4.5 e altre distribuzioni, consente agli utenti di causare un denial of service (kernel OOPS) dereferenziando un puntatore nullo a un inode all'interno di una dentry.
