Un overflow del buffer basato sullo stack (stack-based buffer overflow) in javaws.exe di Sun Java Web Start nelle versioni JRE 5.0 Update 11 e precedenti, nonché 6.0 Update 1 e precedenti, consente agli attaccanti remoti di eseguire codice arbitrario tramite un attributo codebase eccessivamente lungo in un file JNLP.
