I Cisco Content Switching Modules (CSM) versione 4.2 precedente alla 4.2.3a e i Cisco Content Switching Module con SSL (CSM-S) versione 2.1 precedenti alla 2.1.2a consentono agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (consumo della CPU o riavvio del sistema) tramite insiemi di pacchetti TCP fuori ordine dalle caratteristiche non specificate, noto anche come CSCsd27478.
