Madwifi 0.9.3.2 e versioni precedenti consentono agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (panic) tramite un beacon frame con un valore di lunghezza elevato nell'elemento extended supported rates (xrates), che innesca un errore di asserzione, correlato a net80211/ieee80211_scan_ap.c e net80211/ieee80211_scan_sta.c.
