Il codice di parsing degli XML in Sun Java Runtime Environment JDK e JRE 6 Update 3 e versioni precedenti elabora i riferimenti alle entità esterne anche quando la proprietà "entità generali esterne" è impostata su false, consentendo agli attaccanti remoti di eseguire attacchi XML external entity (XXE) e causare una negazione del servizio o accedere a risorse riservate.
