La shell Korn (nota anche come mksh) precedente alla versione R33d su MirOS (noto anche come MirBSD) non svuota il buffer di I/O del terminale tty quando invoca mksh in un nuovo terminale, consentendo agli utenti locali di ottenere privilegi aprendo un terminale virtuale ed inserendo sequenze di comandi che potrebbero essere successivamente eseguite da un utente diverso in circostanze opportunistiche lanciando mksh e specificando tale terminale con l'opzione -T.
