Vulnerabilità Use-after-free nella funzione CRecordInstance::TransferToDestination di mshtml.dll in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01, 6, 6 SP1 e 7 consente ad attaccanti remoti di eseguire codice arbitrario tramite binding DSO che coinvolgono (1) un'Isola XML, (2) DSO XML o (3) Tabular Data Control (TDC) in un documento HTML o XML manipolato ad hoc, come dimostrato da elementi SPAN o MARQUEE annidati, ed è stata sfruttata nel mondo reale a dicembre 2008.
