Il Red Hat Cluster Project 2.x consente agli utenti locali di modificare o sovrascrivere file arbitrari tramite attacchi symlink su file in /tmp, coinvolgendo componenti non specificati nel Resource Group Manager (noto anche come rgmanager) prima della versione 2.03.09-1, gfs2-utils prima della versione 2.03.09-1 e CMAN - The Cluster Manager prima della versione 2.03.09-1 su Fedora 9.
