La funzione dtls1_retrieve_buffered_fragment in ssl/d1_both.c di OpenSSL prima della versione 1.0.0 Beta 2 consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (derefenzionamento di puntatore NULL e crash del demone) tramite un messaggio DTLS handshake fuori sequenza, correlato a un "fragment bug".
