I dissectors di (1) SMB e (2) SMB2 in Wireshark dalla versione 0.9.0 alla 1.2.4 consentono agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (crash) tramite un pacchetto manipolato che provoca una dereferenziazione di puntatore NULL, come dimostrato da fuzz-2009-12-07-11141.pcap.
