Il Key Distribution Center (KDC) in Kerberos presente su Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4, Server 2003 SP2 e Server 2008 Gold e SP2, quando è configurato un rapporto di fiducia con un realm Kerberos non-Windows, consente agli utenti remoti autenticati di causare una denial of service (NULL pointer dereference e interruzione del servizio del domain controller) tramite una richiesta rinnovata ad hoc per il Ticket Granting Ticket (TGT), nota anche come "Kerberos Null Pointer Dereference Vulnerability".
