La funzione SfnLOGONNOTIFY presente in win32k.sys nel kernel di Microsoft Windows 2000, XP e Server 2003 consente agli utenti locali di causare un denial of service (crash del sistema) tramite il valore 0x4c passato come secondo argomento (noto anche come argomento Msg) a una chiamata alla funzione PostMessage per la finestra DDEMLEvent.
