Microsoft Excel 2002 SP3, Office 2004 e 2008 per Mac e Open XML File Format Converter per Mac ottengono un determinato valore di lunghezza da una posizione di memoria non inizializzata, consentendo ad attaccanti remoti di innescare un heap-based buffer overflow ed eseguire codice arbitrario tramite un file Excel manipolato ad hoc, noto anche come "Excel Data Initialization Vulnerability".
