Il file demux/mkv/mkv.hpp nel plugin del demuxer MKV di VideoLAN VLC media player 1.1.6.1 e versioni precedenti consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (crash) ed eseguire comandi arbitrari tramite un file MKV (WebM o Matroska) manipolato ad hoc che innesca una corruzione della memoria, correlata a "class mismatching" e alla macro MKV_IS_ID.
