IBM AIX 5.3, 6.1 e 7.1, nonché VIOS 2.1.x e 2.2.x, consentono ad attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (crash del sistema) tramite un pacchetto ICMP Echo Reply che contiene il valore 1 nel campo Identifier; si tratta di una vulnerabilità diversa da CVE-2012-0194.
