Il server in ISC DHCP versioni 3.x e 4.x precedenti alla 4.2.2, nella serie 3.1-ESV precedente alla 3.1-ESV-R3 e nella serie 4.1-ESV precedente alla 4.1-ESV-R3 consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (uscita del demone) tramite un pacchetto DHCP manipolato ad hoc.
