Quando mount.ecrpytfs_private nelle versioni precedenti alla 87-0ubuntu1.2 chiama setreuid(), non imposta anche l'effective group ID (EGID). Di conseguenza, quando crea la nuova versione di mtab.tmp, questa viene creata con il gruppo dell'utente che sta eseguendo mount.ecryptfs_private.
