Il file common_startup.cc in PowerDNS (noto anche come pdns) Authoritative Server, nelle versioni precedenti alla 2.9.22.5 e nella serie 3.x prima della versione 3.0.1, consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (loop di pacchetti) tramite una risposta DNS UDP manipolata ad hoc.
