Il componente sccp-protocol in Cisco IP Communicator (CIPC) dalle versioni 7.0 alla 8.6 non limita la frequenza dei messaggi SCCP verso Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), consentendo ad attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service tramite vettori che attivano messaggi (1) on hook e (2) off hook, come dimostrato da una cuffia Plantronics, noto anche con il Bug ID CSCti40315.
