La funzionalità client di Smart Install in Cisco IOS 12.2 e nelle versioni 15.0 fino alla 15.3 sui switch Catalyst consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (riavvio del dispositivo) tramite parametri della lista delle immagini manipolati ad hoc nei pacchetti Smart Install, noto anche come Bug ID CSCub55790.
