Una certa patch Debian per txt2man 1.5.5, come utilizzata in txt2man 1.5.5-2, 1.5.5-4 e altre versioni, consente agli utenti locali di sovrascrivere file arbitrari tramite un attacco symlink su /tmp/2222.
