La funzione dissect_openwire_type presente in epan/dissectors/packet-openwire.c nel dissector OpenWire di Wireshark, nelle versioni 1.8.x precedenti alla 1.8.11 e nelle versioni 1.10.x precedenti alla 1.10.3, consente agli attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (loop) tramite un pacchetto appositamente creato.
