L'API di hashing delle password in Drupal 7.x precedente alla versione 7.34 e il modulo Secure Password Hashes (noto anche come phpass) 6.x-2.x precedente alla versione 6.x-2.1 per Drupal consentono ad attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (consumo di CPU e memoria) tramite una richiesta appositamente costruita.
