Il programma di assistenza abrt-hook-ccpp in Automatic Bug Reporting Tool (ABRT) precedente alla versione 2.7.1 consente agli utenti locali con determinati privilegi di ottenere diritti elevati tramite un attacco symlink su un file dal nome prevedibile, come dimostrato da /var/tmp/abrt/abrt-hax-coredump o /var/spool/abrt/abrt-hax-coredump.
