Un heap-based buffer overflow nella funzione verify_vbr_checksum di exfatfsck, presente in exfat-utils prima della versione 1.2.1, consente ad attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (loop infinito) o potenzialmente eseguire codice arbitrario tramite un filesystem manipolato ad hoc.
