Il metodo FwdState::connectedToPeer in FwdState.cc presente in Squid prima della versione 3.5.14 e nelle versioni 4.0.x precedenti alla 4.0.6 non gestisce correttamente gli errori dell'handshake SSL quando compilato con l'opzione --with-openssl, consentendo ad attaccanti remoti di causare un denial of service (crash dell'applicazione) tramite un messaggio HTTP in chiaro.
