CVE-2018-10900 in Network Manager VPNC Plugin

Il plugin VPNC di Network Manager (noto anche come networkmanager-vpnc) precedente alla versione 1.2.6 è vulnerabile ad un attacco di privilege escalation. Un carattere di nuova riga può essere utilizzato per iniettare un parametro del Password helper nei dati di configurazione passati a VPNC, consentendo a un attaccante di eseguire comandi arbitrari con privilegi di root.
