Una vulnerabilità nel Cisco Enterprise NFV Infrastructure Software (NFVIS) potrebbe consentire a un attaccante remoto autenticato con privilegi di amministratore di sovrascrivere o leggere file arbitrari sul sistema operativo sottostante (OS) di un dispositivo interessato. La vulnerabilità è dovuta a una non corretta validazione degli input nei comandi del filesystem di NFVIS. Un attaccante potrebbe sfruttare questa vulnerabilità utilizzando variabili costruite ad hoc durante l'esecuzione di un comando interessato. Uno sfruttamento riuscito potrebbe consentire all'attaccante di sovrascrivere o leggere file arbitrari sul sistema operativo sottostante.
