È presente un problema di time-of-check to time-of-use nell'operazione IORING_OP_CLOSE del sottosistema io_uring nelle versioni 5.6 - 5.11 (incluse) del kernel Linux, che consente a un utente locale di elevare i propri privilegi fino al livello root. Introdotto nel commit b5dba59e0cf7e2cc4d3b3b1ac5fe81ddf21959eb, corretto nel commit 9eac1904d3364254d622bf2c771c4f85cd435fc2 e backportato alla versione stabile nel commit 788d0824269bef539fe31a785b1517882eafed93.
