Nel kernel Linux è stata risolta la seguente vulnerabilità:
powerpc: Non tentare di copiare il PPR per un task con pt_regs NULL
In powerpc vengono impostati PF_KTHREAD e PF_IO_WORKER con un puntatore pt_regs a NULL, cosa che non risulta comune su altre architetture (basandosi sulla mia verifica, seppur breve). Questo comportamento è accettabile, tranne quando i thread PF_IO_WORKER sono stati creati e il task esegue qualcosa che provoca la generazione di un coredump. In tal caso si verifica questo crash:
