Nel kernel Linux, la seguente vulnerabilità è stata risolta:

dmaengine: sf-pdma: correzione della memory leak in pdma_desc

Il commit b2cc5c465c2c ("dmaengine: sf-pdma: Add multithread support for a DMA channel") ha modificato sf_pdma_prep_dma_memcpy() in modo da allocare incondizionatamente un nuovo sf_pdma_desc ogni volta che viene chiamato.

In precedenza, il driver riutilizzava i descs verificando il flag in_use, allocando nuovi descs solo se quello esistente era già in uso. Questa logica è stata rimossa nel commit b2cc5c465c2c ("dmaengine: sf-pdma: Add multithread support for a DMA channel"), ma sf_pdma_free_desc() non è stato modificato per gestire il nuovo comportamento.

Di conseguenza, ogni volta che viene chiamata sf_pdma_prep_dma_memcpy(), il descrittore precedente va in memory leak, portando nel tempo all'esaurimento della memoria (memory starvation):

Aggiungere la mancata chiamata a kfree() in sf_pdma_free_desc() e rimuovere il flag ridondante in_use.
