La funzione `NSC_DeriveKey` ha assunto involontariamente che il parametro `phKey` fosse sempre non-NULL. Quando veniva passato come NULL, si verificava un errore di segmentazione (SEGV), causando crash del software. Questo comportamento era in conflitto con la specifica PKCS#11 v3.0, che consente a `phKey` di essere NULL per determinati meccanismi. Questa vulnerabilità interessa Firefox < 133 e Thunderbird < 133.
