Nel kernel Linux è stata risolta la seguente vulnerabilità:
ring-buffer: Correzione di un overflow in __rb_map_vma
Si verificava un overflow durante l'esecuzione del seguente calcolo:
nr_pages = ((nr_subbufs + 1) << subbuf_order) - pgoff;
È stato aggiunto un controllo prima del calcolo per evitare questo problema.
syzbot ha segnalato ciò come uno slab-out-of-bounds in __rb_map_vma:
