Nel kernel Linux, è stata risolta la seguente vulnerabilità:
vxlan: Correzione di un NPD (Null Pointer Dereference) durante l'aggiornamento di una voce FDB con un oggetto nexthop
Le voci FDB di VXLAN possono puntare a un indirizzo di destinazione remoto oppure a un gruppo nexthop FDB. Quest'ultimo è solitamente utilizzato in implementazioni EVPN dove l'apprendimento (learning) è disabilitato.
Tuttavia, quando l'apprendimento è abilitato, un pacchetto in arrivo potrebbe tentare di aggiornare una voce FDB che punta a un gruppo nexthop FDB e, di conseguenza, non dispone di un indirizzo remoto. Tali pacchetti dovrebbero essere scartati, ma vengono scartati solo dopo aver dereferenziato l'indirizzo remoto inesistente, causando un NPD [1] che può essere riprodotto utilizzando [2].
La correzione consiste nello scartare tali pacchetti in anticipo. È stato rimosso il commento fuorviante da first_remote_rcu().
