È stata rilevata una vulnerabilità nel plugin file-png di GIMP. Un attaccante remoto può sfruttare questa falla creando un'immagine Animated Portable Network Graphics (APNG) malevola contenente un chunk tRNS di dimensioni eccessive. Ciò può causare un overflow del buffer nello stack (CWE-121), provocando il crash del plugin file-png e risultando in una Denial of Service (DoS) per l'utente.
