Un bug di tipo Regular-Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) nella funzione extract_metadata() della libreria Markdown2 (lib/markdown2.py) di trentm markdown2, fino alla versione v2.5.5, consente agli attaccanti di causare un Denial of Service (DoS) tramite un documento Markdown manipolato ad hoc.
