Although the system employs the HMAC-SHA256 encryption algorithm to protect credentials during transit, it fails to implement adequate rate-limiting or anti-brute-force controls. Combined with the risk of information leakage regarding default weak credentials, this flaw allows an attacker to perform highly efficient brute-force attacks to gain unauthorized administrative access to the device. |
