Invia #867103: Open5GS v2.7.1 Memory Corruptioninformazioni

TitoloOpen5GS v2.7.1 Memory Corruption
DescrizioneOpen5GS v2.7.1 is affected by a denial-of-service vulnerability in its Diameter handling path when using the freeDiameter stack. When an Open5GS Diameter-facing component processes a malformed Diameter Capabilities-Exchange-Request (CER), the freeDiameter parser reaches an unrecoverable branch in parserules_check_one_rule() and triggers abort(). As a result, the affected Open5GS daemon terminates with SIGABRT instead of rejecting the malformed Diameter message gracefully. An attacker with network access to the Diameter listener, commonly TCP/SCTP port 3868 depending on configuration, can send a crafted CER message and crash the affected Open5GS process, causing a denial of service. The issue was publicly reported to the Open5GS project in GitHub issue #4156. The report shows that the crash is reproducible with a single malformed CER packet and that the affected code path involves Open5GS components using libfdproto/libfdcore. No public CVE identifier is known for this issue at the time of submission.
