| Titolo | tallcms 4.8.0 Code Injection |
|---|
| Descrizione | TallCMS v4.8.0 is affected by an improper authorization vulnerability in the PluginManager plugin upload and installation functionality. The plugin install/update action only checks whether plugin uploads are enabled through `tallcms.plugins.allow_uploads`, which defaults to `true`, and does not enforce the `super_admin` role required for code-package installation. Any authenticated backend user granted the `View:PluginManager` permission can upload and install a crafted plugin ZIP containing arbitrary PHP code. During installation, the package is extracted, registered for PSR-4 autoloading, and its declared classes and service provider are loaded without sandboxing. Using the supplied `test-fixed-1.0.1.zip` package, the installed middleware evaluates the attacker-controlled `X-TEST` request header; sending `X-TEST: system('id');` returns `uid=33(www-data) gid=33(www-data) groups=33(www-data)`, confirming remote code execution as the Web server user. Successful exploitation may allow reading application secrets such as `APP_KEY` and database credentials, modifying application data, installing persistence, and compromising the server within the Web process privileges. |
