| Descrizione | configobj up to 5.0.9 is vulnerable to inefficient regular expression complexity (ReDoS, CWE-1333). The _sectionmarker regular expression in configobj/__init__.py (the ((?:\[\s*)+) group) backtracks quadratically on a section-header line containing a long run of "[" characters: about 24 KB of "[" takes ~7 seconds to parse and scales O(n^2). An attacker able to supply configuration content to an application using configobj can cause CPU exhaustion / denial of service. Distinct from CVE-2023-26112 (which was in the validate() function).
