バランスの排他状態は、一時停止中のバランスおよびデバイス追加と互換性があるため、いくつかの処理が複雑になります。一時停止中のバランスから開始する際に有効な状態をチェックするアサーションでは、さらに2つの状態を考慮する必要があります。これらは、複数のスレッドがバランスとデバイス追加の開始を競合する際に発生し得る組み合わせです。通常、コマンドラインからコマンドが開始される際には、このような状況は発生しません。
シナリオ1: 排他操作状態 == BTRFS_EXCLOP_NONEの場合
同じマウントポイントに対して複数のデバイスを同時に追加し、btrfs_exclop_finishがbtrfs_exclop_balance内のアサーションよりも前に実行されると、排他操作状態がBTRFS_EXCLOP_NONEに変更され、アサーションが失敗します：
