| 説明 | A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the firmware of the Pavlok behavioral conditioning wearable, specifically within the Apple Notification Center Service (ANCS) event handler. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker within Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) range to achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) and complete system compromise. The ANCS event handler copies attacker-controlled payload data to a fixed-size output buffer without verifying that the input size remains within the allocated capacity. Because the destination buffer is located directly adjacent to live operating system scheduler structures in memory, an oversized payload overflows the buffer and overwrites critical execution structures. By carefully crafting the shellcode payload, an attacker can hijack the execution flow and seize complete control of the device's operating system. Exploitation requires no physical interaction, application credentials, or long-term bonding keys. The attacker only needs a device capable of functioning as an arbitrary BLE peer and must be within physical radio reception range of the target. Successful exploitation yields complete system control. Because the wearable is designed to deliver physical stimuli, code injection grants the attacker direct access to the device's vibrational, auditory, and electrical shock hardware. This allows the attacker to arbitrarily trigger these functions and bypass the normal clamping limits enforced by the legitimate control interface. |
