Linux 커널 4.17.1 버전의 net/socket.c에서 sock_close 및 sockfs_setattr 함수와 관련된, 동일한 소켓 파일 설명자(filedescriptor)를 대상으로 하는 fchownat과 close 간에 race condition이 존재합니다. fchownat은 파일 설명자의 참조 카운트를 증가시키지 않으므로, close가 fchownat 실행 중에 소켓을 NULL로 설정할 수 있으며, 이로 인해 NULL pointer dereference 및 시스템 충돌이 발생합니다.
