Open5GS 2.8.0 이전 버전에는 lib/pfcp/types.c의 ogs_pfcp_parse_volume_measurement() 함수에서 heap out-of-bounds read 취약점이 존재하며, 이를 통해 원격 공격자가 인증 없이 IE(Internet Exchange) 버퍼를 초과하여 읽을 수 있습니다. 공격자는 UDP 포트 8805에서 SMF(Session Management Function)로 짧고 모든 플래그가 설정된 Volume Measurement IE를 포함하는 PFCP Session Report Request 메시지를 전송할 수 있으며, 최대 48바이트까지 데이터를 읽고 SMF의 크래시를 유발할 가능성이 있습니다.
